Help Us Support Babies & Parents in Cullman County
First Source For Women is the only pregnancy center serving Cullman County women and babies in difficult situations.
Our Vision: We believe that all human Life is Sacred and a Gift from God. First Source For Women exists to help women in unexpected pregnancies choose life for their babies, and to support them in their decision.
As we strive to help women and babies, the Biblical ‘widows and orphans’, it is important to stay focused on them, NOT on funding worries, and raising money to keep the doors open.
Each and every month, rent, director salary, utilities and insurance, advertisement, website, pregnancy testing supplies, and other expenditures run approximately four thousand dollars.
Funds are needed for baby beds, diapers, new car seats, basic baby layettes, as well as real office needs such as toner cartridges, paper, and a new computer for all our record-keeping needs.
Our First Source For Women Fund Raising Dinner will be underwritten so that every dollar raised at this event will go DIRECTLY TO HELPING WOMEN & BABIES in our community!

Equipped with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Social Work from the University of Southern Indiana and a background in social work, public administration, and missions, Lori Devillez began her career path of serving pregnancy centers in 1992. She quickly advanced from a volunteer position to Executive Director of the pregnancy center and a maternity home.
From 1997-2005 Lori traveled the nation as President of The Heidi Group, an Austin, Texas organization helping centers develop strategic ministry and providing training in all aspects of pregnancy resource center management. Lori’s training classes include superior management and administrative practices; strategic planning for the Boards of Directors, personnel training and certification; fundraising; development of new centers, exceptional conferences and continuing education; and media campaigns that reach women in crisis.
Lori developed a heart for the 100,000-plus university students in Austin, where she moved in 1997. Her vision for a pregnancy center adjacent to the University of Texas campus was realized in January 2005 when the Austin Pregnancy Resource Center opened. In March of that year, Lori DeVillez became the Executive Director of that facility and has since planted 12 more pregnancy resource centers in the Austin area.
Lori has been featured twice on Focus on the Family’s Heartlink, a web-based outreach to women’s resource/pregnancy centers. She was awarded the Texas Business Woman of the Year in 2011 by the Texas Women’s Chamber of Commerce. Lori is recognized and respected for inspiring a Culture of Life through her work, and she continues to help create “A New Day” as a Ziglar Legacy Certified Trainer.
