Common Questions

I think I might be pregnant.

We offer free Pregnancy Testing and free Limited Ultrasounds for those who qualify.

This is unexpected. I don’t know what to do…

If you are faced with an unexpected pregnancy, meet with a caring and trained peer counselor to learn about pregnancy, parenting, abortion, and adoption.

Where can I go for help? Who can I talk to?

Our caring and trained peer counselors are aware of the fear and confusion you may be facing. This is one of the most important decisions of your life. We are here to help you weigh your options.

I’m not sure about adoption…

If you’re not sure, you can create a Life Plan for your baby by considering the option of adoption. We can present the different types of adoption, many types from “open” to “closed”. As you weigh the many different options, we will provide you with unconditional care and confidential support.

I’m not sure about abortion…

If you’re thinking about abortion, you need to know all the facts! It is important to remember that abortion is a medical procedure. Once you have a surgical abortion, it cannot be undone. You owe it to yourself to make an informed decision, and to do that, you need all the facts. We will help you answer questions such as:

  • What type of abortion procedure would be performed on me?
  • Are there any immediate and life-long risks to consider?

  • How will my baby’s father feel about abortion?

  • How far along am I?

Come in for a free, confidential appointment. We can help you understand the abortion process, possible risks, and your pregnancy. We will listen and help you think through your personal situation and all your options.

I never imagined being in this situation or having to make this decision…

You never expected to be in this situation. But now that you are facing an unexpected pregnancy, you might be experiencing conflicting emotions, and feel uncertain as to what to do. We are here to advocate for you, and we are prepared to have an informative and open discussion to help you as you walk through this decision.

Do you offer after-abortion recovery support?

YES! You don’t have to hurt…

No matter who you are, what you have done, or what has been done to you, there is hope!
Because abortion is private, often women don’t talk about their abortion with others. As a result, some women let the painful memories build until that day when the pain is just too much to bear. Others cope with their abortion history better than others. Sometimes the pain doesn’t present itself fully until ten to twenty years (or more) later.

However, when you feel you have no way to escape the memories that resurface, you need to know there is Hope and Healing.

First Source for Women Center offers recovery support meetings at our office. Request an appointment to discuss attending one of our recovery support groups.
